HUMAN RESOURCES/ORGANISATION
The work of this department is concerned with labour management and labour organisation issues in personnel and organisational planning.

The progressive social development in society also confronts our company with the task of helping employees to satisfy their needs for greater independence combined with self-realisation in their respective areas of responsibility, in addition to the desire for jobs and income that appear secure in the long term. We want employees who identify with the results of their work. That is why TEAM-WORK have always been of highest importance for us.

Cooperation under a common objective with result-oriented supervision is the key to our success in staff development. More than 200 permanent employees with industry-specific qualifications play a decisive role in determining the performance of our company. Great attention is paid to the training of young people and the individual promotion for the assumption of future responsible functions, whereby the transfer of knowledge from older to younger employees is forced and focused on by the management.
Sector-specific further training serves the continuous development of our staff's performance and has a not insignificant influence on the expansion of our unique selling points in the international market of our sector. All of this has to be organised; and even though organisation is a system of permanent regulations, we understand it as a constant process of change, adapted to an optimal fulfilment of tasks.

In a nutshell:
Goal orientation, coordination, continuity and division of labour are the four factors that characterise our efficient structural and procedural organisation.
We will be happy to put them to the test for you.

PURCHASING
Within the framework of the process organisation in our company, the basic task of the purchasing department is: "Everything that has to be bought, the purchasing department buys!"
Whether raw materials, auxiliary and operating materials, machines, equipment and services; the extensive supply market requires comprehensive knowledge of our specialist staff, because the quality of the raw materials and equipment used has a decisive influence on the production process and on the product quality. Therefore, we have a very simple demand on our suppliers:

We always want only the best!

Exclusively high-quality materials and services in compliance with the fundamental criteria such as: Quality, price, delivery time, delivery reliability and fulfilment of legal requirements, the purchasing department procures as an internal service provider at the request of the company divisions. Our suppliers are evaluated annually within the framework of our quality management system. The minimum requirements consist of fulfilling the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001:2008. Ortrander Eisenhütte itself has demonstrably fulfilled the requirements of DIN EN ISO/TS 16949 since October 2011.

Do you want to show us what you can do? Do you want to be one of our suppliers? Then we await your contact, as written, in the purchasing department.
IT - Management

Information technology plays an important role in our company and has a direct effect on the high quality of our products.

As early as the work preparation stage, simulation software is used to examine the feasibility of your models, carry out possible optimisations and determine optimum parameters for the casting process, so that your desired model can be transferred to series production very quickly.

Fully automatic charging and processor-controlled MF furnaces are further examples of our state-of-the-art information technology. The individual production steps can thus be monitored and controlled in real time using extensive production data. Not only is the composition of the melt analysed, but the casting temperature and important parameters of the moulding sand are also checked and visualised with the help of special software. In this way, the production process is kept at a constantly high level and immediate corrective measures can be initiated in the event of deviations from planned values.

The objective of this department is to ensure the functionality of the information technology in the company and to introduce new information technologies. This includes not only the production area but also telecommunications, server technology and the employees' workstations.
